Conventional process of nitrating phenolic compounds involves the use excess corrosive reagents that impose environmental threats. Rapid and environmentally friendly microwave-assisted nitration phenol has been employed to limit nitric acid sulfuric acid. In this study, is reacted calcium nitrate acetic acid, which served as agents. The solution irradiated under microwave complete process. This microwave-assisted- synthesis a rate- enhanced showed in short reaction time 1 min with high yield 89%. Bands phenyl ring, OH, CO, nitro groups observed FTIR spectra correspond vibration modes para-nitrophenol. GCMS analysis retention 7 for product 139m/z base peak matches confirms para- nitrophenol. method can be an efficient, safe, rapid alternative
